Since leaving academia in 1999, my life has taken me exploring around the world. My most recent experience took me to Cambodia with PEPY. This experience proved to be one of the most worthy and sensational to date. It is my intention to share with my readers the profound and heart-wrenching stories and pictures of my experience. As always, please feel free to write me about any thoughts you may have after traveling with me via my blog.

The Kingdom Of Kampuchea
Kampuchea. On April 26th, 2006, I left Narita Airport headed for Phnom Penh (PNH). Malaysia Airlines is a partner of my frequent flyer group, so my 12 hour lay-over was in Kuala Lumpur. Not really enough time to get out and about the town, and at 11pm I just wanted to go to sleep. I sought out a comfy row of chairs, put my bag under my feet and covered up with some shirts for the night. In the morning I was well rested for my arrival in PNH. I spent most of the day walking around for a bit, then retreating back to my room from the intense heat. Too much of a contrast from the cool weather in Ibaraki, Japan. At night time though, I was able to get out more and take some nice fotos.
